Compare repair routes
A framework for your first conversation. These are questions to clarify, not provider rankings or quoted service terms.
Use the same questions for each proposal
Start with the actual equipment, facility and work boundary. The three routes below describe possible starting points for an enquiry; they are not mutually exclusive, and their availability must be established with the provider.
| Question | On-site | Depot | OEM support |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where work happens | At the facility | At a repair facility | Through the manufacturer’s support channel |
| What to confirm | Who owns access, cell integration and the return-to-service plan? | Who handles packing, transport and testing after reinstallation? | Does the channel cover the exact robot and controller generation? |
| What the quote includes | Ask what travel, site requirements and actual work are included. | Ask what transport, parts, bench testing and reintegration are included. | Ask which support route, equipment coverage and scope apply. |
Keep unknowns visible
Ask who owns equipment removal, handling, interfaces, testing and acceptance when those matters are relevant. A component-level result does not by itself establish that a whole system is ready to operate. Qualified specialists and the facility must define the actual work and handover.
